It's something that most people know, not to say tennis fanatics. But how many really knows everything? The Stadium, Roland Garros, is named after Roland Garros, an aviator and a fighter aircraft pilot during WWI. He was the first man to fly a plane across the Mediterranean Sea. A bigger court is needed when France won the Davis Cup against the USA and a rematch was to be held in Paris.

Wanted to watch the female finals but the tickets were all sold out and all we can get is the annex tickets which do not permit us for the 3 main courts and one include the court that the finals will be held. I din manage to watch my Henin Justine play her finals. Despite that, I did watch her 1st set of her match with Nanovic Ana.
